Type 1 Kidz was developed to support children and young people with type 1 diabetes, facilitated by Investing in Children, a Community Interest Company to help children and young people engage with their hospital care, Simple Telehealth is part of this project.

Kerry Camara, Great North Children's Hospital Educator, developed the pathways in conjunction with the children and young people using the service and initially developed a 6 week motivational model / pathway. Feedback has been positive based on evaluation undertaken and new areas are being developed.
