Phil O'Connell - Chair and Global Lead

Phil is a Visiting Fellow at Staffordshire University's Faculty of Health Sciences, has won NHS Leadership Academy accolades of ‘The NHS Innovator of the Year’ and ‘The NHS Inspirational Leader of the Year’, is the creator of the NHS's patented Simple Telehealth technology, methodology and Florence, is Clinical Messaging Consultant to the US Veterans Health Administration and is a Chartered I.T. Professional.


Prior to the NHS, Phil had an international career focussed on business change at SME and multi-national levels, working across Europe, Africa and Pacific regions in the mobile, telecoms and sports sectors.


Phil is currently using his unique approach to assist NHS and healthcare organisations throughout the UK, USA, Australia and Ireland to develop effective but low cost methods of increasing quality of care and clinical efficacy, whilst reducing cost and saving time for patients and clinicians.



Lisa Taylor - Director of Services and Community

Lisa is a specialist and thought leader in the development of the Simple Telehealth methodology who enjoys supporting positive change across complex environments to deliver improvements in quality outcomes for patients and their families. Lisa has worked within the NHS for 15 years, across primary care, acute and community services in operational and multi-agency redesign roles at a local, regional and national level. Lisa has a B.A. (Hons) in Economics and Masters in Business Administration and also plays a leading inspirational role in the ongoing international NHS/VHA exchange programme.


Lisa specialises in the use of innovative personalised models of care delivery to achieve better and faster outcomes where patient and clinician feel involved, equipped and enabled. Lisa has a keen focus on evaluation and dissemination of best practice, with recent research focusing on the barriers and enablers to Simple Telehealth’s adoption and diffusion. Having been closely involved with Florence’s early implementation and infrastructure, Lisa now uses this experience to enable organisations across the UK to develop and improve their capability maturity with the Simple Telehealth methodology and to share best practice.



Karen Moore - Advanced Capability Lead

Karen has a background implementing large scale projects and business change programs in the NHS and private sector and is an APMG qualified Change Practitioner.


Karen supports member organisations throughout the whole lifecycle to successfully implement the Simple Telehealth methodology and Florence including; initial planning, training, protocol design, business change, engagement with the Simple Telehealth Community and embedding best practice for sustainable use and benefits realisation.


Karen also facilitates regional and national peer to peer sharing networks and training workshops to ensure that best practice can be shared throughout the Simple Telehealth community.




Kylie Dentith - Technology Enabled Care Support Assistant

Kylie, a Training and Development professional who is also qualified in Business Administration and Team Leadership, joined us in August 2017 bringing with her 6 years of NHS experience.


Kylie’s talent has been recognised with accolades and awards from Health Education West Midlands, the Royal Stoke University Hospital and her own NHS colleagues!


Kylie now supports Simple Telehealth Community Members by delivering expert clinician and administrator training, supporting new teams to sustainably innovate with Flo and supporting numerous internal and clinician facing projects and initiatives.
